🌱 Hello! This is the Official Insectoplant Trait list! 🌱
All possible traits should be listed here, along with a set of guidelines on what you can and can't do with a design.
Requirements & NotesInsectoplants have little restriction in order to deliver the most unique and creative designs our members can muster; However, there are guidelines. Please read below to understand what goes and what doesn't---The required traits and other information for all Insectoplants are seen below or in their respective tabs.

  • Teabeetles require a Horn trait, while the other subspecies have rounded snouts instead. All subspecies can now use nose horns as well, but its up to you and is totally optional! Otherwise all subspecies are able to utilize smooth snouts.

  • All subspecies needs spiracles, a plant, and a tail/wing trait.

  • Head horns, Fur, Spikes, Bumps, and Odd fur formations are not traited.

  • All traits can now swap freely within the same rarity. For any swaps outside of rarities (i.e. Rare --> Mutation) you will need an eclair from our shop!

  • You can change the design as much as you want including all colors as long as it resembles the original at least a little! The design doesn't need to keep markings, major aspects, etc. You just need to be able to tell what the original design was. Please be aware it is up to staff discretion for what is considered "too far" from the original.

  • Prosthetics and limbs/eyes/body differences, etc. related to injury or disability are completely untraited and free to add.

Character Based Characters🌱

Here in Insectoplants we strive to allow all members to design as they feel comfortable, and to have fun doing so! Because of this, tentatively allow character based character (CBC) designs to be made and added to our Masterlist as a part of the Insectoplants species. However, there are some limits - let's use Pokémon's Heracross as an example.

  • Near-identical designs with only species requirements edited on like the bottom left are disallowed (red X), both by us and other sites usually by Toyhouse itself!

  • Making some edits to color, patterns and features like the bottom center (yellow X) is usually disallowed - sometimes for very simple inspirations it's okay, but are often too similar for our species to accept (since we could get in trouble!)

  • Changing a little bit of everything including the overall silhouette like the bottom right (green X) is allowed! These changes are perfect since both up-close and zoomed out it'd be hard to mistake your Insectoplant for their inspiration!

Please be aware that during the design approval process you MUST state when something is a derivative CBC design, and if caught not stating so will result in a kick or warning from the species.A tag will be added to your ML listing stating that your Insectoplant is a CBC, and what it is referencing. Those who have CBC tags on their MLs will NOT be allowed to utilize a base worth, and will be set to $0 on the ML.There are some media IPs that allow 1:1 inspirations taken, and we have received permission to utilize this in our spaces.
As of right now, only Deltarune/Undertale and Among Us are allowed to be 1:1 derivative CBC’s in our species (please don’t copy each others designs though, and keep yours unique)
